Anthony Napolitano Obituary

Anthony Napolitano, also known as “Tony Naples”, 87 passed away peacefully on March 6, 2019. He was the devoted son of the late Raffaelo and Carmela (nee Marino) Napolitano. Anthony was a lifelong Rosebank native who loved reminiscing about his childhood adventures and the people he met growing up in his close knit Rosebank neighborhood.

Anthony attended McKee High School. He entered the Army after high school serving his country during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the 3rd infantry and a life member of the Staten Island Veterans of Foreign Wars. His military service taught him to put life’s adversities in perspective, to bravely take chances in life, and to live life to the fullest. He was a self-employed business man, always staying close to home in Rosebank. Anthony had a witty sense of humor, a unique fashion style and would always dress to impress.

He loved spending time in Las Vegas which was his home away from home, enjoying the great food, entertainment and meeting many celebrities. He was an avid food lover. He was always cooking up his favorite recipes and enjoyed dining out. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and the tradition of getting together with his extended family every Sunday for dinner.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Napolitano (nee Pisacano) for over 59 years. She passed away in 2015. He was a devoted father to daughter Camille, son-in-law Arturo Samayoa and his late sons Ralph and Anthony Napolitano. He was the proud grandfather to Brian Christopher Grisanti. He is also survived by his beloved sister Ann Marie Winkler, nephew George Winkler and niece Linda Panyu.
