In Loving Memory

It is with a heavy heart, but a lifetime of beautiful memories, that we say goodbye to my dad.

If you knew him, you knew he wasn’t one for a lot of words. It was in his presence and the things he would do—his actions—where he truly showed how much he cared. He wasn't one for big, flashy things, either. He found his absolute happiest moments in the quiet, simple parts of life—sitting outside with a hot cup of coffee listening to the birds, spending a day by the water with a fishing rod in hand, or just enjoying a family barbecue. He was happiest when it was just our small, close-knit family together: me, my dad, my mom, my brother, and my son.

Above everything else in this world, he loved his family. He loved me and my brother, Christopher, more than words could ever say, and he completely adored his grandson, Zachary. Dad was always there for us, no matter what. He loved doing things for us, and he was always needed and so deeply appreciated. We are going to miss laughing and joking around with him so much.

There is a huge hole in our hearts now that he is gone. We are going to miss him more than we can even put into words, but we take comfort in knowing he is at peace, likely sitting by a calm lake with a perfect view.

I’m so thankful for all these years of memories, and I’m going to keep them close to my heart forever. Thank you, Dad, for loving us with all your heart. We love you immensely, always and forever.
