Anna DePalma Obituary

Anna Nolan DePalma
1923 – 2025 (102 years)

Anna was born in 1923 to Philip and Filomena Prisco. She resided in Rosebank for most of her life. She graduated from PS 13 and from New Dorp High School in 1941.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Rosebank and Resurrection Church in Dania, Florida. She was a stenographer for Dr. Lipani at Mt. Loretto and a dental assistant for Dr. Davidson and Dr. Einhorn for 17 ½ years.

Her hobbies included dancing, traveling, reading, and cooking. She enjoyed watching soap operas and watching the NY Yankees. Her home was always open to family and friends, and there was always a pot of coffee on the stove.

Later in life, she moved to Eltingville to be cared for by her son Jim and daughter-in-law Linda.

She was predeceased by her first husband, James Nolan, who was killed in World War II; her second husband, Vincent DePalma (1988), who she was happily married to for 32 years; and her sisters Antoinette Rumolo, Bridget Gagliardi, Mary Prisco, Theresa Scaramuzzo, Mildred Allotta and her brother Thomas Prisco.

Anna is survived by her loving sons James and Robert and her cherished grandchildren James (Jennifer), Melissa, Robert, Justin, Michael and John.
