Anthony Vazzana

It is with heavy hearts the daughters of Anthony Vazzana announce his
passing on October 6, 2024. A longtime resident of Rosebank, he turned
99 in July.

Anthony was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the VFW-Labetti
Post 2159. He worked at the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) till he
retired in 1987. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church of Rosebank.
Anthony was preceded in death by his loving wife Frances of 41 years. As
well as, his seven siblings, Philip, Salvatore, Joseph, Christine, Stella,
Josephine, and Marie.

He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Sarah and Jim White
and Toni and Russ Fair. His grandchildren Matt and Stacy White, and
Kerrilyn and Carl Angelo; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Abigail
White and Sofia Angelo.
Anthony loved to get his family together and have BBQs in his backyard on
Vermont Avenue. He loved to work in his garden and share his crops with
everyone.

Services will be held at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 466 Tompkins Avenue, on
November 11, 2024 at 11:00 am. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations be made to “Tunnel to Towers Foundation”, 2361 Hylan Blvd.,
Staten Island, NY 10306.
