Barbara Ann Ameduri, 80 years old, a lifelong resident of Staten Island, passed away in the loving arms
of family in the early hours of March 15, 2023, at Richmond University Medical Center. Born in South
Beach on November 4, 1942, Barbara grew up and lived in Rosebank for most of her adult life.
Barbara was a graduate of St. Johns Villa Academy and received an associate degree from Staten Island
Community College. After college, she enjoyed working as an administrative assistant at Hanover and
various banks in Manhattan.
Barbara faced many challenges during her lifetime but had an active mind and great inner strength. She
was resilient, kind and courteous.
Barbara was retired and in her spare time, enjoyed reading books and the Staten Island Advance. She
especially enjoyed shopping for herself and her family members. She was a master crocheter, making
many gifts for those she loved.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Sophie Murawski and Louis Ameduri. She is survived by her
brother Anthony Louis Ameduri and wife Phyllis Barone-Ameduri. She was loved greatly by her nephews
and nieces, Anthony Steven and his wife Katarina Lee- Ameduri, Allison Ameduri and Matthew Ameduri.
She will be greatly missed.
