Barbara Orloski Obituary

Barbara Ann was a loving wife to Richie, mother to Ashley and Richie jr, daughter to Geraldine and Victor, sister to Joseph and Grandma to dogs Bear, Lola, Zeus, Astro, Nasa, Skye and cat Bonk. She adored her kids and all the things motherhood brought along with it.

Barbara was born and raised in Brooklyn NY.
In earlier years, Barbara Ann loved to sing and dance on her stoop in Brooklyn. In her teenage years, She was known as “the prettiest girl in Brooklyn” as per her friends. She met the love of her life, Richard John Orloski when she just 14 years old and was soon engaged at 17, married with a baby on the way by 21. She married her childhood sweetheart on Valentine’s Day because “love” was so important to the two of them.
The day Richie died she lost a part of her and missed him terribly to her dying day. Barbara Ann remarried to Lenny Poliandro and again had to suffer a broken heart the day he passed. She then moved home with her daughter, son, and mother whom she cared for.

Barbara Ann was creative and innovative. She accomplished anything she put her mind to and was a true jack of all trades. She was a great writer and storyteller. Her stories will truly be missed. She loved music and dancing. She loved fixing things that were broken in the most creative ways. She loved to learn and was always coming up with new ideas she couldn’t wait to tell her kids about. She loved sweets (especially candy) and loved to cook.

Barbara was selfless always helping her family, as well as people and animals in the neighborhood. Barbara loved nature. She loved the beach, always collecting beautiful shells. She loved flowers and to garden. She was especially proud of the vegetables and basil plants in her yard. Her table always had fresh flowers on it. She had a great sense of style and was always up with the latest trends which she prided herself on. Barbara was adored by her puppies! She took such good care of them. She always joked about not being able to sleep in her own bed because the dogs loved to cuddle up with her and kicked her off.

To say she will be missed by all is an understatement. Her presence was large and her light was bright. She will be missed terribly and will always be loved dearly.
