Carmela Buono

Carmela Buono (née Sbailo) was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born in Naples, Italy on September 24th, 1960, emigrated to Staten Island, New York on April 3rd, 1963 where she lived the rest of her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. Carmela was preceded in death by her mother the late Benedetta Sbailo and her father the late Giovanni Sbailo. She leaves behind a cherished husband Domenico Buono, a loving legacy of her devoted children; daughter Lina Magnavito and her husband Anthony, son Gianni Buono and his wife Kayla, daughter Bernadette and son DJ and his fiance Ariana; beloved siblings Mario Sbailo and Emilia LoVetro, and cherished grandchildren Adrienne and Everly Buono and Anthony and Giovanna Magnavito, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Anyone who was lucky enough to know her, truly loved her and was loved by her. She will always be everyone’s favorite Mammina.
