Concetta "Connie" I. (Iovine) Garbarino

Concetta “Connie” I. Garbarino (nee Iovine) of Concord passed away quietly Friday at the Carmel Richmond Care Center. Connie was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Anita Iovine. Connie was a graduate of Port Richmond High School. After graduation she began her career working as a secretary for N.Y. Ports and Terminals in Manhattan just above the SI Ferry Terminal retiring in 1995.

Connie was active member of many organizations within her community. She was a member of the Grand Jurors Association, she volunteered at P.S. 48 reading to students and was a member of the Staten Island Museum Lunch and Learn Club.

Connie was pre-deceased by her loving husband John. She is the devoted mother of John, daughter in law Maria and cherished grandmother of John Gerard and Robert Christopher.
