Daniel White (64), passed away in Staten Island University Hospital North, onSeptember 9, 2020, after a long illness.He was born in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of twelve children.He was employed in the jewelry manufacturing business in the 1970’s, and after
his marriage in 1980, he and his wife started their own home improvement business. After the recession in the late 1980’s, he opened a tree removal
company. He retired after becoming ill.
He was a man of many talents, excelling at mechanics, carpentry, welding,electronics, and anything else he put his mind to. He was known as Mr Fixit, and
he could fix just about anything that was put in front of him.He enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing and camping.He loved animals and nursed many of them back to health, even bottle feeding a family of 6 racoons, as well as a squirrel and birds.He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and taught his wife, daughter, and
grandchildren many different things.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail (nee Van Pelt), his daughter, Danielle Gouldthorpe, son-in-law Samuel IV, and three grandchildren, Zoe, Samuel V, and
Dean. Also survived by his siblings, Marion Cieslak, Howard White (Dina),Elizabeth Rose, Linda Ruggiero (Donato), Evelyn White, Edith Rose, and Thomas
White (Jill). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Elvira White, brothers Robert, Ronald and Philip White, and a sister June Gorden. He was laid to rest at Moravian Cemetery on September 12, 2020.
