Dorothea Bedford

 Dorothea "Dottie" Bedford (nee Falco), passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022, with her husband and children by her side. She was born  to Salvatore and Dorothy Curtain-Falco on Staten Island, NY in 1943.  Dottie graduated Curtis High School and had met her future husband at Mel's Sweet Shop, an ice cream pallor in St. George Staten Island. They were married in 1964 and recently celebrated 58 years together. She worked at the YMCA in New Brighton and then St. Vincent's Medical Center as a payroll clerk until her retirement. In 2019 she moved to Wurtsboro, NY to be near her daughter where she enjoyed all the things upstate living had to offer like feeding the deer, chipmunks and birds an attending Farmer's Markets and Festivals. She volunteered her kindness and generosity throughout her life to contribute to different communities in need, such as buying Christmas gifts for families and helping the blind. She will be sorely missed. She loved her family dearly.

Surviving Dorothea is her husband Alfred H. Bedford, her daughter Debra Kelly and son and Daughter-in-law Alfred and Lissa Bedford. Also by her adoring 7 grandchildren; Linsday, Michael, Andrew and Shannon Kelly; and Matthew, Andrew and Christopher Bedford. Aunt to many special nieces and nephews and special and brother-in-law Denise and Rusty Anderson.
