Fiore Avanti Brusco died Monday, April 20, 2020 at Clove Lake Nursing Home of natural causes. Born and raised in Staten Island, he was a lifelong resident.
He leaves his son, Dr. Peter Brusco and his wife, Suzanne; his daughter, Joy Sparandera and her husband, Tom, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Fiore is preceded in death by wife, Genevieve of 45 years, son, Fiore, and his 5 sisters and 5 brothers.
Fiore worked as a Maintenance Man for New York City Housing Authority for 25 years. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the Navy. He was actively involved in the Masons of LaGuardia Lodge earning a “50 years of meritorious service” award, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Community Board Member, Elder at First Presbyterian Church, Volunteer for the homeless. Fiore had a passion for writing poetry, fishing, football and absolutely loved to tinker and fix anything for anyone that needed help!

Due to covid-19, there is no public service. Any donations can be made to Alzheimer's Research.
