Navy veteran, longshoreman of 40 years, great-grandfather of 19
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Frank M. Caputo passed into the embrace of our Heavenly Father on April 28th, 2023.
Affectionately known as "Frankie 9" due to the fact that he was the father of nine children, Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a dedicated father and worked 40 years as a longshoremen and proud member of the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) to support his large family.
He was known for his sharp wit and storytelling ability which remained with him despite his advanced age. He was a patriarch in the truest sense leaving a legacy of 9 children, 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way.
Family was everything to Frank. He consistently delivered grace at every formal family function and just did so via tape recording only one month ago at his grandson's wedding when he was unable to physically attend.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Louise who passed 11 years ago one week shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his daughter Joanne (Caputo) Doss, daughter Susan (Caputo) Greco, son Martin Caputo (Helen), son Frank Caputo, son Joseph Caputo (Lorraine), son David Caputo (Maureen), daughter Roseanne (Caputo) Albanese (Anthony), son John Caputo (Paula) and son Christopher Caputo. He is also survived by his sister Anna Marie (Caputo) Demonte and Rosemarie (Caputo) Demonte as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
