Frederick Brown Obituary

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather and Great Grandfather

Frederick “Jerry” Brown of Rosebank passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon at the Clove Lake Care Center. Born in Stapleton, Jerry was the son of Frederick and Edna Brown. He was a graduate of Curtis High School and Pace University. After graduation Jerry joined the Coast Guard serving four years. He was honorably discharged and began his life long profession in the accounting field. It was also around that time he met Gloria (nee Burmeister) who would become his wife of 66 years.

Jerry was known by his friends and neighbors as Governor. He knew and loved all sports a “true aficionado”, and was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan.

Jerry loved time with his family most of all. He survived by his devoted wife Gloria (nee Burmeister). Devoted father of Kevin (Sandra), Karen McNamara (Stephen), Jeffrey (Dawn), Kenneth (Haley). He was the cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home in Concord. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Rosebank. Private committal to follow at the Rosehill Crematory.
