Gerard LaMastra Obituary

Gerard J. LaMastra passed away quietly on 08/08 at the Richmond University Medical Center. Born in West Brighton, Staten Island to Ralph and Theresa LaMastra. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart elementary school and McKee High School  As a young man Gerard loved bowling and car racing at the Weissglass Stadium. He joined the U S Army National Guard serving honorably for many years discharging as a Corporal. Gerard was an auto mechanic by trade working may years in Queens and completing his career here on Staten Island. In later years once he had a family, Gerard loved camping vacations with his family he greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing even having a boat in his earlier years. He was also a fan of black powder competitions. He also enjoyed being with his children while they were in Scouting.

Gerard is survived by his devoted wife Barbara (nee Oglio), loving children Lynn LaMastra-Zakrzewski (Vinny), Don (Kathy) and Danielle LaMastra_Iscovici. Cherished grandfather of Amanda LaMastra, Laina LaMastra, Matt LaMastra, Joseph Iscovici, Nicholas Iscovici, Mia Iscovici, Sophia Iscovici, Robert Iscovici and greatgrandfather of Marybelle Parisi.
