Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather
Jerome “Jerry” LoCascio passed away peacefully on Sunday evening at the Addeo House Hospice. Jerry was born in Little Italy, the son of the late Dominic and Frances LoCascio. Upon leaving high school Jerry served in the US Army Air Corp in WWII. Once he returned home, he began his career with the NYC Sanitation Dept. rising to level of foreman prior to his retirement. Not being one to sit idle Jerry began a second Career at Morgan Guaranty Trust Co.
Jerry was a devout Knight of Columbus. He was a Fourth Degree with the Governor Dongan Assembly, was a member of the Madonna Council 5915 as well as the past Grand Knight of the Council. Jerry was also a member of the K of C Color Corps, and a member and past chaplain of the Cespino- Russo American Legion Post 1544. Jerry enjoyed spending his spare time with his friends at the Arrochar Friendship Club. He also enjoyed his favorite pastime of gardening.
Jerry loved time with his family most of all. He survived by his devoted wife Vincenza (nee Fiumefreddo). Loving daughters Francine DiGregorio (Kenneth) and Nancy DiPietro (Stephen). His cherished grandchildren Christopher DiGregorio (Rose), Robert DiGregorio (Marissa) and Stephen Michael DiPietro, and his fond Great-grandchildren Andrea, Francesca and Anthony DiGregorio.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home in Concord. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday at St. Charles RC Church. Committal Will follow at Cemetery of the Resurrection.
