Joan Marie Feasel: A Life of Love, Strength, and Compassion
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and aunt, Joan Marie Feasel, who left this world on October 3, 2024, at the age of 69. Surrounded by the warmth and love of her family during her final moments, Joan departed as she lived—wrapped in the embrace of those who meant the most to her. Her unwavering strength, wisdom, and boundless love will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Joan was not only a cherished sister and aunt but also a woman of great passion and purpose. Her lifelong love of animals, especially the many she cared for throughout her life, was only rivaled by her dedication to helping others. Whether through her kind words, gentle actions, or heartfelt generosity, Joan left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. She was a woman who faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience, and her spirit remained unbroken, even in the face of adversity.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she adored her three siblings, Helen, Paul, and Andrea. Joan also cherished her large extended family, which included her 12 nieces and 9 nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Through their lives and their love, Joan’s legacy will continue to flourish, and her memory will be kept alive with every smile, every laugh, and every moment spent together.
A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, Joan's presence brightened every room she entered. Her absence now leaves a profound void in our hearts, but the impact of her love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
To honor Joan’s remarkable life and the countless memories we hold dear, wake services will be held at Martin Hughes Funeral Home on October 7, 2024, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and again on October 8, 2024, from 9-11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Rosebank, where we will come together to celebrate the life of a woman who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Joan’s honor to her favorite animal rescue organization, a cause that was near and dear to her heart.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Joan’s memory will forever remain etched in our hearts—a testament to a life lived with purpose, passion, and love.
