On June 22, 2020, heaven gained a new angel. John Fiordaliso, who passed at the age of 59. John was born to Arthur (deceased) & Mary Fiordaliso in1961. He was also a loving brother to Arthur and sister Nina. John is a retired NYPD Sergeant , who began his service when he was sworn in as a New York City Police Officer in October 1981. After only a few years in rank, he was promoted to Sergeant. At that time, he was the youngest member of the department to have been promoted to that rank. John worked in all parts of New York City during his career. He spent most of his time in the Special Operations Division. After retiring from the Police Force, John became an entrepreneur, and successfully built a company specializing in personal protection, security and investigations. He continued to be active in the New York City Police Union as a “City-Wide” Liaison, and political consultant. John was also an active philanthropist, involved in a charity for New York City Police Department Widow and Orphans Fund, and the Wounded Warrior Project, amongst other charitable foundations. He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Alexandra and Emma. He was an adoring and faithful, husband to his beloved wife Kimberly, as well as a role model to his step sons, Zackery and Tyler. He loved being the best dog dad, to Romeo and Luna. John was a dear friend, colleague and family member. He was loved and respected by many. John was dependable and generous, responsible, full of humor and life. He had a wide world of knowledge, which included history and fun facts. He was an animal enthusiast and enjoyed fabulous vacations, fine dining, and spending his time with family and friends. Yes, the world was a better place just because he was in it!
