Joseph Carmine La Gala, born 1953 in Manhattan NY and resided in Staten Island for the rest of his life. Joseph was raised by both parents Vincent and Annabelle La Gala( Gilberti). In 1972 Joseph graduated from New Dorp High School and later became employed with Pioneer Bus Company. Later Joseph started a career at the NYC Department of Sanitation where he later retired. Joseph married his long term girl friend Marguerite Serafin. They later had their one daughter, Olivia La Gala. He was loved by his siblings, Fraternal brother Chris LaGala (Toni) Emily Belasario (Michael) deceased brother Salvatore La Gala (Barbra) and deceased sister Joyce Butera. Also loved my many nieces and nephews. On the morning of March 4,2023 Joe, age of 69, Suddenly died in his sleep. Joe was a very strong man and a good hearted man he always enjoyed his families company. He had a heart of gold and would be there for anyone he loved. Joe was known as the “Fix it man,” anything that broke he knew how to fix it. Joe always made everyone laugh and Feel at home whenever anyone visited. Everyone knew they could count on''Big Joe!” In his Free time he enjoyed cooking for his Family and events, going to Atlantic City, and playing cards with his friends. Joe cherished his family more than anything. He had a very strong love and bond with his only daughter Olivia and the love of his life Marguerite. His dog Luna who was his best friend will miss him dearly. Joe will deeply be missed by those who knew him and will forever remain in our hearts.
