Josephine Eurell

Josephine "Josie" Eurell passed away peacefully on February 2, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Brooklyn, Josie moved to Staten Island where she would work as a Nurse's Aide and raise a beautiful loving family. She was  fun loving, and an extremely creative person. She loved music and loved to sing. She also loved to write poetry, and was quite proud when her poetry was chosen to be  published. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, and spending time together with her family. The holidays were her absolute favorite time of year, especially Christmas!

Josie is survived by her husband, Francis; three children Rick (Joanne), Michelle (John), Pirella (The late Anthony); siblings Joyce, Theresa, Jenny, Richie, Mickey, and Jerry; grandchildren Gia, Matt, Anthony, Ricky, Michael and Andrew; and two great-grandchildren Vincent and Ariah. Please join the family in celebrating the life of Josie. Visitation will be on Thursday the 6th of February at the Martin Hughes funeral Home from 2-4 & 7-9. On Friday the 8th there will be a mass of christian burial at our Lady of Pity Church, committal immediately to follow at the Resurrection Cemetery.
