Lucy Nicholasi

Lucy was born in May of 1955 to Pasquale and Amelia Mattera. In Manhattan N.Y. She was a smart, helpful young girl. From a young age, she helped her parents who were immigrants and did not speak English well. She would run errands, help cook and help with her younger siblings.  She was very outgoing and dedicated to her family. 

Lucy attended St Joseph’s Rosebank Elementary School and St. Francis Academy High School.

Lucy met her husband and best friend, Johnny Nicholasi. They fell in love and married on June 17, 1978.  They were a perfect pair. Lucy being witty and serious, and Johnny being funny and silly.  They had three girls and spent their lives supporting and loving each other always. John, the love of her life, passed in 2019, and Lucy passed on her birthday, She came full circle and has been blessed over and over again. She will be remembered as a loving mom. sweet grandmother, greatest sister, aunt and cousin. Her perseverance and determination in life has passed on to her children. Lucy will be remembered with dignity, honor and the highest respect by all who knew her.

Lucy is survived by her three children, Stacy Nicholasi, Alexandria Nicholasi and Amelia Nicholasi; four grandchildren, Wanda Ann Nicholasi, Ralphie Nicholasi, Annabella Nicholasi and Justin Johnathan Ramos; her sister Carmela Mattera Zuckerman (Alan) and brother John Joseph Mattera (Dawn); along with many sister and brother-in laws, Nieces, nephews ang grand nieces and nephews.
