Maria Raitano

Maria Raitano of Tinton Falls, NJ, formerly of Rosebank, passed away on Thursday, February 24th.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to the Rosebank section of Staten Island in 1963  where she lived for 41 years.  She is pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph.  Maria is survived by 4 children, Paul, Laura (DeLuccia), Dianne (Soucek) and Maria (Ignarra).  She is also survived by her sister Joan Norton and brother Nicholas Coletto, as well as 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Marie, as everyone called her,  was a member of the Christian Mother’s Club at St. Joseph's RC church in Rosebank for many, many years. She enjoyed playing cards, going to Atlantic City and was active in many clubs and activities at Seabrook Village, where she lived for the past 18 years.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maria’s name to the Confraternity of Christian Mothers at St. Joseph RC Church, 463 Tompkins Ave. Staten Island, NY 10305.
