Marion Mazzarella, 95, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Born on July 6, 1930, in New York City, Marion was the cherished daughter of the late Pellegrino and Angela Marsala. She grew up in Manhattan and was the devoted wife of the late Frank Mazzarella, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and family.
For more than 40 years, Marion lived and raised her family on Staten Island before moving to Little Egg Harbor two years ago. She worked in the food service division of Wagner College for over 25 years, retiring in the early 1980s.
Marion will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and dedication to family. She loved preparing meals for every holiday, creating cherished traditions around her table. A voracious reader and lover of crossword puzzles, she also treasured time spent with friends. For over a decade, she was an active member of the Friendship Club in Staten Island, where she both participated and volunteered in many community activities.
A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Marion was known for her elegance and impeccable sense of style. She delighted in shopping for clothes and took pride in coordinating her outfits with grace and flair, always beautifully dressed and coiffed.
She is survived by her beloved children, Carol, Cathy, Tom, and Sue, along with her cherished grandchildren, Erika and Hanna, who brought her endless joy.
Burial will be private for family at St. Peter’s Cemetery on Staten Island.
