Martha Matos

Martha Matos, 65, died peacefully on October 11, 2020 in Staten Island, NY. Her final days were spent with her family by her side.
Martha was born on December 27, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY. She was always known to friends and family as an extremely hard working, independent woman. As soon as she could, at an early age, Martha thrust herself into the workforce. For over 40 years, she worked in the legal industry as a legal secretary. She took great pride in her work and did it well. That work ethic didn’t stop when she left the office each day. She was the boss at home too. She couldn’t have been a more caring, supportive and loving wife and mother. She loved to cook and bake, always ensuring we were all well fed. Even bringing delicious pastries and cookies to work for her co-workers, some of which she considered family. 
If there is one word that would best describe Martha, it would be selfless. Always more concerned with the needs and security of others before her own. 
Martha is survived by her loving husband, Luis; sons Angel, Luis and Robert; brother Richard.
