Marvin D. Henick , 85 of West Brighton, died on December 25th of complications due to COVID-19. He was born in Newark, New Jersey and moved to Staten Island, 50 plus years ago. He served our country in the US Army. He attended Oklahoma State University and has been active as a Real Estate agent for over 50 years. He was a member of the Lions Club and served for over 50 in which he wore many different hats. He was an avid New York Yankee and New York Jets fan and enjoyed rooting for his teams. He loved to do Sudoku puzzles, eat and spend time with his family especially his beloved dog Marley. He will be truly missed and was a man that was loved for his kindness and his ability to always give a helping hand to anyone need.
He is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Archer), his daughters Randi Doerr and Kimberly Osgood- Kinsella. Three grandchildren Kyle John Doerr, Alexa Paige Nicastro- Thompson and Ryan Van Doerr. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
Family and friends will be received at Martin Hughes Funeral Home, 530 Narrows Road South. Corner of Britton Avenue in Concord. Saturday 2-7PM.
Chapel Service will be Sunday 9:30 AMofficiated by Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, committal will follow at Beth Israel Memorial Park in Woodbridge, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the American Heart Association.
