Mary Marcello

Mary Marcello passed away peacefully at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home on Sunday, January 20, 2020. She was born in Haverstraw, NY, and ended up settling down in Staten Island with her devoted husband Salvatore, who predeceased her in 1984. Together they had five loving children; Rosemary, Carmine, Salvatore, Robert and their late son Joseph. Mary came from a very large family herself. Out of seven siblings she is only survived by her two brothers Carmelo and Michael. She is predeceased by brothers Bruno, Pete and Joseph; and sisters Rosie and Fanny. Mary loved her family and was blessed in her life to have ten loving grandchildren; Joseph, Michelle, Lisa, Jamie, Dana, Stephanie, Melissa, Carmine Jr., Christopher and Salvatore.

Mary's occupation was waitressing, and with her warm and caring personality, she truly was quite the hostess. She belonged to both The Friendship Club and the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She will be truly missed by all those who loved her.

Please join her family in celebrating Mary's beautiful life. There will be visitation on Thursday, January, 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home, 530 Narrows Rd. Staten Island, NY 10304. On Friday, January, 24th there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church at 9:30am, followed by a committal at the Moravian Cemetery.
