Nabha Bhasathiti
On Wednesday January 20th, Nabha Bhasathiti, loving husband, father and grandfather of three, passed away at the age of 80. But he lived like he was 50 and looked it.
Nabha was born November 6, 1940 in Thailand and came to New York City to pursue a career in civil engineering. Because of his job, Nabha traveled everywhere around the United States: Georgia, Texas, Washington to name a few.
Even with a hectic job, Nabha managed to make time to help out in the Thai community by participating in many charity events as a performer. Nabha loved to dance, sing and to contribute in any way he can. His love of Broadway shows was shared with his children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His love of theater, cooking, dancing, and adventures (and many more too numerous to mention) were shared with whoever he would meet throughout his life. He was known for his sense of humor, his permanent smile on his face, his love of playing jokes, trying out new restaurants and more importantly his compassionate spirit. He loved life but most of all, he loved his wife of over 50 years, Somsri Bhasathiti. Their love of dancing and playing jokes on each other has been passed down to his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and every one else in the family tree.
Nabha is survived by his wife Somsri, his daughter Kasama, his son John and daughter in law Gina, his grandchildren Stephanie, Nicholas and Francesca, several brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews in the United States and Thailand.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at Martin Hughes Funeral Home on 530 Narrows Road South at 5pm-9pm.
Nabha loved life and lived with no regrets and he will be missed every day by everyone who loved him.
