Patricia Falco

Patricia (Pat) Falco, 85, lifelong Rosebank resident died on Sunday, May 29th in Richmond University Medical Center. 

Born Patricia Rossiello to Pasquale and Emma Rossiello, Pat was always the center of her family‘s life. An only child, she was doted on by her loving parents and she adored them just the same—living just a few houses away from them her entire life.

She married Matthew (Matty) Falco, her high school sweetheart and love of her life, in 1957. Pat and Matty had 60 glorious years together before he passed away in 2017. Together they had two sons who they loved more than measure, Matthew, Jr. and Gary. Pat’s heart grew even more upon the arrival of her four grandchildren whom she treasured. 

Pat’s family came first but she never lost the independence instilled in her by her parents. She became a fiduciary accountant with Curtis, Mallet, Prevolt, Colt and Mosley in Manhattan until her retirement in 2015 after more than 60 years on the job. She enjoyed reading, trips to AC, hosting her famous Christmas Eve feast, and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Joseph Rosebank Roman Catholic church from baptism and faithfully attended mass there weekly her entire life. She was the definition of small but mighty and will be missed greatly every day. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased in death by her son Matthew, Jr. in 2012 and by her aunt, Charlotte Meise, only 7 years older than Pat, they were raised like sisters and inseparable most of their adult lives. She is survived by her son Gary and wife Renee, grandchildren Brandi, Gary, Natalie, and Emma, step grandchildren Marcus and Alysia Rockefeller, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph St. Mary Immaculate RC Church, the former St. Joseph Rosebank.

Viewing will be Wednesday, June 1st, from 7p-9p, Thursday, June 2nd, from 2p-4p, 7p-9p at Martin Hughes Funeral Home. With a mass of Christian burial Friday, June 3rd, at 10a at St. Joseph St. Mary Immaculate.
