Peter George Pasciuto

1927 ~ 2023 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Obituary

Peter George Pasciuto, a cherished soul whose love and light touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away at his beloved home surrounded by his adoring family on July 3. Born in the bustling heart of Manhattan to the proud parents, Cossimo and Elizabetta Pasciuto, Peter George, affectionately known as George, graced their lives as one of six beloved children.

From a tender age, George embraced the responsibilities of adulthood, taking on the mantle of providing for his family. Driven by a strong work ethic, he discovered his calling within the garment industry as a skilled knitting mechanic. With dexterity and passion, he tirelessly contributed to the creation of exquisite garments, earning the admiration and respect of his peers.

In the tapestry of George's life, a serendipitous encounter introduced him to the love of his life, Rose Fazio. Their hearts intertwined, and they embarked on a joyous journey together, blessed with the arrival of two beautiful daughters. Settling in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, George and Rose lovingly nurtured their daughters, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter, support, and cherished memories.

George had a deep passion for sports, and his involvement extended beyond personal enjoyment. For many years, he selflessly coached the St. Rose of Lima basketball team, sharing his knowledge and love for the game with young aspiring athletes. Even in the later stages of his life, he remained actively engaged, coaching and encouraging his beloved grandchildren in their sporting endeavors.

Devoted to his family, George found solace and happiness in their company. Whether it was sharing laughter around the dinner table, savoring the simple pleasures of life, enjoying his cherished cigars, or immersing himself in the melodies of his favorite music, George radiated love and contentment in those moments.

Left to cherish his memory are his adoring daughters, Lisa Herrera (Albert) and Toni Cianci (Mike). Preceding him in eternal rest was his beloved wife, Rose, who passed away in 1991. He leaves behind two loving grandchildren, Craig and Jessica Herrera, who will forever hold their cherished memories of their dear grandfather close to their hearts.

In his journey beyond, George reunites with his sister and brothers, Elena DeMatteo, Aldo Pasciuto, Salvatore Pasciuto, Dr. Vincent Parry, and Peter Caricchio, who have preceded him in the embrace of eternity.

As we bid farewell to Peter George Pasciuto, we celebrate a life intertwined with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family and community. His legacy resonates in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit will forever guide and inspire us to cherish our loved ones and embrace life's blessings with open arms.

In honoring George's remarkable life, let us remember the lessons he taught us—to live with passion, to love unconditionally, and to cherish every precious moment.
