Rev. Daniel Figueroa

Pastor at Pentecostal Church, Family Man, "Led by Example" Devoted man of faith and patriarch of his family, Reverend Daniel Figueroa, passed away on February 8, 2023 at the age of 79. Daniel was a beloved and cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was survived by his children, David Figueroa, Samuel Figueroa, Wilbert Figueroa, and Mereleen Figueroa, and daughters-in-law, Joanne Figueroa and Lina Figueroa. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Monserrate Figueroa, and their children, Daniel Figueroa, Elizabeth Figueroa, and Jennifer Guzman. Daniel was an adored and loved grandfather of Rebecca Sinibaldi, Sarah Gonzalez, Jonathan Perez, Samuel Figueroa, Elijah Figueroa, Noah Figueroa, Luke Figueroa, Isabella Figueroa, and a cherished great grandfather of Jace Sinibaldi, Emelisse Sinibaldi, and Elysia Gonzalez. Daniel Figueroa grew up in Puerto Rico and eventually moved and settled in Mariners Harbor of Staten Island. In his community, Daniel was known to be a humble servant of God, selfless, kindhearted, and had an incredible sense of humor. Daniel delighted in making others smile and laugh and always had a joke handy. He was devoted to his family and church family, and he pastored at Rehoboth Pentecostal Church for 40 years. Daniel was revered as a man after God's own heart and lived his life leading by example. He loved to share his love for God by sharing his testimony with others, preaching an anointed sermon, and ministering through faithful prayer. Though Daniel is no longer physically present with us, his legacy of love, wise teachings, and expression of faith live on in the hearts of his family, loved ones, and the many lives he touched. We find comfort knowing he lived his life fervently serving the Lord and is now rejoicing in the presence of God. Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Martin Hughes Funeral Home; 530 Narrows Road, Staten Island, NY 10304. Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Rehoboth Pentecostal Church; 36 Willowbrook Road, Staten Island, NY 10302 with a final resting place at Ocean View Cemetery; 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306
