Richard Glenn Hassel

Richard passed over to our God on February 25, 2021.

He was a proud native of Staten Island, New York.  He was born on April 16, 1953 to Muriel and Frederick T. Hassel.  In addition to his predeceased, parents and his brother Frederick T. Hassel he is survived by his sister, Beth Hassel, PBVM, and brothers, James Hassel (Ginny) Robert Hassel (Barbara) and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Hassel along with many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. 

Richard was a graduate of St. Sylvester School and Richmondtown Preparatory High School. He was employed by AG Edwards.He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Sylvester Parish and a member of the Holy Name Society ,Madonna Council Knights of Columbus and a proud 4th degree Knight .

In his younger years he enjoyed a round of golf with his brothers .

Richard was a Notre Dame football fan and an avid New York Giants and Yankee fan. He enjoyed talking politics and smoking cigars and  annual outings to Yankee Stadium .
