Rosalie Siclari Obituary

With great sadness and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rosalie Siclari on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the age of 86. She was a loving wife, cherished mother, and adoring grandmother.

Rosalie was married to her true love, Salvatore for 39 years, who preceded her in death (2006). She raised three children – Nicholas (56), Donna (54) and Lisa (52) who she loved deeply and selflessly strived to always give them the best in life. She treasured her grandchildren, Emily (17) and Nicholas (15) and embraced every moment with them.

Born to Ukrainian immigrants on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, she was a devoted daughter, granddaughter and elder sister to Teddy and Maryann.  She took great pride in her culture often most notably during Easter with her traditional and unmatched Paska bread. Soon after she married Sal, they moved to Staten Island where they made their home for over 55 years. She had friendships that lasted her lifetime centered on her ability to make you laugh and her unwavering commitment to always be there for others.

Our mother was a woman of extraordinary kindness, humor, compassion and love. Her absence will leave an unfillable void not only in our family but to all those who she touched. Her ability to tackle challenges with insight and strength was an inspiration to all. Her integrity and lively spirit will be deeply missed and her impact on us will always remain.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Rosalie’s favorite charities: American Indian College Fund or ASPCA.
