Salvatore F. Morreale, born July 17, 1952, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Salvatore will be remembered for his warmth, his hard work, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
Salvatore was the beloved husband of Patrice and the proud father of Jessica Botero (Dave Krause), Jenny Murphy (Matt Murphy), and Annie D’Esposito (Joseph D'Esposito). He was a cherished grandfather to Alexa Krause, Talia Krause, Joey D’Esposito, and Dean Patrick Murphy, and a beloved brother to Michael Morreale (Jennifer Dobbins).
The son of Nino and Ann Morreale, Salvatore was also a proud grandson of Mike and Jenni, and Sal and Olivia, whose love and traditions helped shape the man he became. He valued family above all else and took great pride in being a father and grandfather.
Salvatore was a graduate of Holy Rosary School, Msgr. Farrell High School, Fordham University, and New York University. He built a remarkable career as a Chemical Trading Manager at ICD–UMC, where he worked for 42 years. His role took him across the globe, and he became a worldwide traveler for business, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his professionalism and dedication.
Music was another true passion in Salvatore’s life. A superb saxophone and violin player, he was affectionately known as “Singing Sal.” He performed as a musician with the Nino Morreale Orchestra, and he also had his own band, Fantasia, bringing people together through music and celebration.
Salvatore was also proud of his involvement with the community, including the Italian Club of Staten Island Foundation.
Salvatore’s legacy is one of love, laughter, commitment, and family pride. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
