It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Santa Macaluso, who left us on June 27th, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born on November 2nd, 1944, in Sicily, Santa grew up in the vibrant city of Catania. In 1971, she embarked on a new adventure, moving to New York, where she built a beautiful life for her family.
Santa was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband, Charles Macaluso, and a devoted mother to her children, Vincent Macaluso and Lina Macaluso. Her unwavering love and support were the cornerstone of their lives.
Santa lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. As a young lady in Sicily, she was a professional hairdresser and the proud owner of her own salon. Her passion for cooking and baking filled her home with warmth and delicious aromas, making her homemade dishes the highlight of every family gathering.
A kind and generous soul, Santa always put others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious laugh and vibrant personality.
Santa is survived by her two children, Vincent and Lina, and her two cherished grandchildren, Nicolas and Christopher, who will miss her dearly.
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
