Santino Scarcella

Santino Scarcella (Santo!)  Was called home by God to be with his family on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Santino, a native Staten Islander, was born on September 25, 1967, to Santi and Maria Scarcella .  

Santino grew up in Rosebank on Shaughnessy Lane where he lived with his parents and his brother Vincent and his sister Maria. He attended St. Joseph's Parochial School. He was a graduate of St. Peter's High School and attended Wagner College, graduating with Honors with a degree in Business. He owned a title company, Elite Abstract, that he later sold. For the past several years, he worked for Data Trace Abstract. 

Santino loved sports and was an avid Yankee fan. One of his most cherished memories with his brother Vinny, was attending game 4 of the 1999 World Series where the Yankees swept the Braves!  He enjoyed the challenge of a good chess game among friends, loved music and especially loved walking along the boardwalk in Midland and South Beach, this brought him peace. 

Many of his friends would say of him he was kindhearted, generous, gentle and more than a friend but also a brother. Someone whom all of us loved dearly and will miss him greatly.
