Steven Polanish

Steven Polanish, 49, passed away on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 in Freehold, New Jersey. He was born May 12th, 1972 in Brooklyn, NY to Kathleen and Thomas Polanish.

Steve was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Rosa,  daughters Amanda and Emily, stepson Jeremy and grandchildren Mason and Adrianna. Steve was best known for his fun loving personality and sense of humor. He enjoyed sports and was a highly social person.

After the passing of his son Brian in 2019, Steve found a new love for religion and became passionate about bible study. With the help of his friends, Steve developed the life motto of “better, not bitter”.

Most importantly to Steve, he enjoyed being a father and a grandfather.

A time of gathering will be held on Friday, December 10th from 3:00-8:00pm at Martin Hughes Funeral Home in Staten Island, NY. Steve will be laid to his final resting place on Saturday, December 11th at Resurrection Cemetery following mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea.
