Thomas Mazzone

Thomas Mazzone passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. He is survived by his loving son, Alec, brothers Vincent (Karen), Joseph (Patricia), and sisters Diane (Anthony), Patricia (Jenness), and Rosemarie.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Along with many lifelong friends . He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria, as well as his sister Pauline and brother John.

Tom leaves behind a legacy of volunteerism with places and events, such as Nature’s classroom at PS 102 in Bay Ridge, the Staten Island Maker Space and Punk Rock mini golf, as well as always helping others whenever the need arose. It gave him great joy to share his amazing ability to repair and build most anything, paired with his skill to create beauty in any garden he touched. 

He was the proud owner of City Tree Guards which reflected his amazing ability to beautify tree beds throughout New York City, and many areas beyond NY. 

Tom’s fabulous sense of humor and dry delivery could be relied upon in any situation. Tom no doubt made everyplace and person all the better by his influence and kindness. He left us too soon, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
