Veronica Tatyana Bailey

Veronica Tatyana Bailey 31, of Jersey City, NJ passed away Friday December 6, 2024. Born April 1, 1993 in Brooklyn, NY to Aila Benitez and Andrew Joseph Bailey. Veronica was a graduate student at The Abundant Life Academy in Kanab, Utah and recently licensed as an Esthetician with aspirations of starting her own business.

An adventurer at heart, Veronica was not afraid to do or and try new things. From being a flight attendant, bartender, concierge receptionist, and living in Atlanta, Georgia. She never ventured far from home and always finding her way back. A beautiful personality that was larger than life. A great sense of humor. She always lit a room with her free spirit. “Stand on your business” was the mantra she lived by. She loved, forgave, but was always honest holding all accountable. She was always “all in” being passionate about whatever she put her heart into-being life, friends, and family.

She is survived by her loving mother Aila Benitez of Jersey City, NJ. Dearest sister Jocelyn Inverdale. Grandmothers Lillian Benítez and Aloma Bailey. Grandfather Vincent Bailey. Aunts and Uncles, Gissette (William) Flynn, Melissa Benítez, Sydney (Deirdra) Benítez, Paula (Vernon) Bailey Williams, Christine (Kerry) Googins, Godfather Geo Bracero. Cousins Kyel and Elias Bracero, Dwaine, Sherise, and Serena Williams, Zachary, Elias, Isaac Googins, Isabella And Tristan Florio and extended family and friends.

Veronica is preceded in death by her loving father Andrew Joseph Bailey 4/20/72 -9/11/01 and loving grandfather Dositeo Benitez 1/14/42 -5/24/24.

A gathering will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Martin Hughes Funeral Home 530 Narrows Rd. South Staten Island, NY 10304
Between the hours of 3:00pm to 7:00pm and again Monday January 6, 2025 at 9:00am, with service and burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery 500 25th Street Brooklyn, NY 11232.
