Vincent Gagliardi, born and raised in the Concord section of Staten Island, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. From a young age, Vincent learned the value of hard work and loyalty, lessons he carried with him throughout his life. He began his career working on tugboats before joining the MTA as a mechanic, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring.
Above all, Vincent was devoted to his family. He was a proud and loving father to his sons, Vincent and Patrick, and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He was a favorite uncle who cared deeply for his nieces and nephews, always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or a story. As a brother, he was steadfast and supportive, and as a husband, he was a loving and caring partner to his wife Kate, sharing a life built on commitment, laughter, and mutual support.
Vincent found joy in simple pleasures: spending time fishing, watching baseball games with Patrick, and fixing anything that needed repair. He was happiest when he could help someone, whether it was a family member, a neighbor, or a friend. His kindness, steady presence, and generous spirit touched all who knew him.
Vincent is predeceased by his beloved son Vincent and his brother Billy and his wife Joann.
He is survived by his devoted wife Kate, his son Patrick, his siblings Theresa and her husband Jack, John and his wife Carrie, Joseph and his wife Helen, and Tommy and his wife Dawn, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Vincent will be remembered for his big heart, strong work ethic, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he brightened and in the memories that will be cherished forever.
