Vito J Russo

Vito Russo of Winter Haven passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Staten Island, New York to the late Vincent and Nancy Russo; he moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 2009. Vito was a retired supervisor for Kings County Hospital and was of the Catholic faith. He was the President of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society-Rosebank. Vito was an avid gardener and enjoyed shooting at rifle ranges; he was an all-around handyman. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and Fox News. 

Vito was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Nancy Russo; daughter, Melissa Russo; and brother, Joseph Douchet. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Russo; son, Joseph Russo and wife Agnes of Staten Island, New York; sisters, Bunnie Defilippo of New Jersey and Tina Gochnor of New York; brother, Bobby Russo of North Carolina and John Russo of Queens, New York; and grandchildren, Julian Russo and Trinity Russo.
