William Richards

William Richards, age 83, passed away on Saturday, August 29th. He was born and raised in Staten Island, NY, the youngest of three siblings. Bill served in the Air Force in Colorado, where he met his wife of 62 years, Mariann. Bill spent most of his life in Rosebank, a neighborhood he loved with his wife and three children. He worked for over 30 years for the Staten Island Rapid Transit, retiring in 1998. Bill loved watching sports, especially the Mets and the Dodgers, and he also loved horse racing. Driving was another thing he loved to do, often taking rides to New Jersey.

Bill is survived by his wife, Mariann, his sister, Shirley Kline, his three children; Michael, Debbie and Tammy, his four grandchildren; Connor, Kendall, Gaelen and Peyton, and his great-granddaughter, Millie. 

There will be a gathering of family and friends taking place Tuesday, September 1st from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home.
